Where is my data stored?

The Chapps software is cloud based. This means that the data you collect with our apps and software is not processed and stored locally on your own computer or server, but rather on a central server managed by us. 

For this cloud, Chapps uses a leading provider: SENTIA, part of the Accenture Group. Our cloud system is SOC2 compliant according to independent external audits. This means that the highest level of security, data integrity, system availability and also data confidentiality and privacy are guaranteed.

The entire system is redundant. That means everything is deduplicated. If a system fails (such as a firewall or a server), a backup system takes over in a few milliseconds.

For larger enterprises and government agencies, we can also provide a private cloud, hosted in either our data centre or your own in-house infrastructure. For more information on this, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@chapps.com. 

The software and the data it contains are hosted in Lochristi, Belgium. In no way does the data ever leave the European Union. The entire process of data processing is compliant with the GDPR.

Actually, your data is better protected than it ever could be on a local computer or server. Because the security measures to protect your data, including against loss or hacking, are so much greater with a professional cloud solution than you can achieve as a private company. 

Finally, we would like to point out that as a customer, you remain the owner of your own data.
