Which device do I need to use Chapps?

Our Building Inspector, Rental Inspector and Dorm Inspector apps are available for mobile devices running iOS (Apple) or Android as the operating system. The Residenz app for communication with residents or tenants is also available for Android and iOS.

You can find our apps in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) on your device. You can download the apps for free, but of course you need a paying subscription to use them:

• "Chapps Building Inspector" for building inspections
• "Chapps Property Inspector" for property inspections
• "Chapps Dorm Inspector", the solution for student housing

There is also the Chapps Residenz app for your tenants/owners. For this you need a subscription to the Residenz Manager.

In addition to an app, our solutions also include a powerful back office. This is 100% cloud software that you use in modern browsers such as Google Chrome or Apple Safari. So you don't need to install anything on your PC or Mac. What's more, you can also use the cloud software via the browser of your tablet.

A tablet offers the most ease of use, but if you prefer to use a smartphone then that works perfectly.

For optimal use of our apps, we recommend the following tablets:

• Apple iPad Mini (as from the 4th generation)
• Apple iPad Air (all models)
• Apple iPad Pro (all models)
• Samsung Galaxy Tab S8
• Samsung Galaxy Tab A8

Are you using another recent tablet running Android? Then it's quite possible that the Rental Inspector app will run smoothly, but we don't guarantee it. 

Be careful with budget models. These tablets often have insufficient memory and processor power to run the app smoothly. And the camera is not always optimal either.

If you prefer to use a smartphone, then we recommend a device with a screen of 6 inches or larger. Recommended devices are:
